(Locust Posture)

This posture resembles locust therefore it is called as Salabhasana.

Method

  1. Lie down in prone pose
  2. While inhaling raise both legs up to one foot height and hold the breath
  3. Stay in that posture comfortably and while exhaling gradually, slowly come back to prone pose

 

Note: One can try with single leg in the beginning

Benefits

It prevents low back pain and cures sciatica, slipped disc etc., it gives strength to the lower spinal cord
