(Legs Apart Posture)
The feet are spread in this asana therefore the asana is called Prasarita Padottanasana.
Method

- Stand in Sama Stithi, stretch the feet as far as possible keeping them parallel to each other.
 - Slowly while exhaling, bring the palms and head vertically down to the ground.
 - Breathing in a normal way one can remain in this position as long as possible.
 - Gradually, slowly come back to Sama Stithi and relax.
 
Benefits
Persons unable to perform shirsasan can do this asana with almost the same benefits. Rejuvenates legs and the body.
