Studies deal with the pulmonary and respiratory is known as pulmonology. Pulmonology is the science concerned with the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the lungs.

A respiratory disease that may occur on pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs. Pulmonary medicine that deals with many disease and conditions Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Asthma, Obstructive lung disease, Pneumonia, Respiratory tract infection, Influenza, Shortness of breath, Bronchitis, Pulmonary fibrosis, Interstitial lung disease, Lower respiratory tract infection, Cystic fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, Common cold, Airway obstruction, and sometimes it leads to lung cancer. Respiratory disorders: on the basis of WHO currently more than 25 million people were affected by respiratory problems. Approximately more over half the amount of people are affected by asthma. Asthma is a most common disease among respiratory disorders. It is a disease affecting the airways that carry air from lungs. People who suffer from asthma are also known as asthmatic patient. As inflammation causes the airways become narrower that leads to transfer of less air through them. Symptoms of asthma include wheezing, chest tightening problems and coughing. Asthma is an incurable disease however with good treatment the disease can be cured.

Development of technology has been found new advancement in treating respiratory disorders. Research and development team are currently working on the inhaled corticosteroids and surgery. And also additionally working on the formation of new drugs which have bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory properties in asthma although there has been incredible progress, there is still much left to discover.
